Product Uses
Both Regular Strength and Extra Strength TYLENOL* contain acetaminophen, the active ingredient which works to relieve mild to moderate pain.

Acetaminophen is considered an excellent choice because it is not likely to cause stomach irritation or interact with prescription medications. TYLENOL* is widely used to treat pain due to:

  • Fever
  • Headaches (migraine and tension headaches)
  • Arthritis
  • Muscle aches and sprains
  • Menstrual cramps

Extra Strength TYLENOL* is now availabe in an eZ TABS format. TYLENOL* eZ TABS are sweet-coated, easy to swallow, and deliver the fast, effective pain relief of TYLENOL*. Now you can experience the fast pain relief of Extra Strength TYLENOL* in an improved, ergonomically designed pill that is smaller, has a great, sweet taste, and goes down easily with or without water.


Formats
TYLENOL* acetaminophen is offered in the following formats:

Regular Strength TYLENOL*: Tablets, Caplets

Extra Strength TYLENOL*: eZ Tabs (easy to swallow, sweet-coated tablet), Caplets, Gelcaps

Dosage
Adults (12 years and older): 1-2 caplets, tablets or gelcaps every 4 hours as required. It is hazardous to exceed 12 (Regular Strength) or 8 (Extra Strength) caplets per day.

Medcinial Ingredients
Acetaminophen
Regular Strength TYLENOL* contains 325 mg of acetaminophen and Extra Strength TYLENOL* contains 500 mg of acetaminophen.

Nonmedinical Ingredients (alphabetical)
Tablets: cellulose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate.

Caplets: cellulose, corn starch, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, sodium starch glycolate.

eZ TABS: carnauba wax, cellulose, corn starch, FD&C red no.40, FD&C yellow no.6, hypromellose, iron oxide black, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, sodium starch glycolate, sucralose, titanium dioxide.

Gelcaps: benzyl alcohol, castor oil, cellulose, corn starch, D&C yellow no. 10, edetate calcium disodium, FD&C blue no. 1 and no. 2, FD&C red no. 40, gelatin, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium propionate, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide.

Caution
Keep out of the reach of children. This package contains enough medication to seriously harm a child. If fever persists for more than 3 days or pain for more than 5 days, consult a doctor. Use only as directed by a doctor. As with any other pain medicine, consult a doctor before use: -with other products containing acetaminophen, salicylates or any other pain or fever medicine -in persons with serious kidney or liver disease -if you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Chronic heavy alcohol users may be at increased risk of liver damage when taking more than the recommended dose of acetaminophen.

Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Do not take this product if allergic to acetaminophen. If rash or itching occur, talk to a doctor.
