No. The active ingredient in SIMPLY SLEEP® (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) is considered a non-habit forming sedating antihistamine. When used as directed, SIMPLY SLEEP® is considered effective. SIMPLY SLEEP® is only recommended to be used before bedtime unless directed by your doctor. If sleeplessness persists continuously for more than two weeks, please consult your doctor. Insomnia may be a symptom of a serious underlying medical illness. If you are under a doctor's care for any serious condition or are taking any other drug, you should talk to your doctor
