What To Do If My Child Experiences Fever Or Pain On A Trip

Steps on how to use the Children’s TYLENOL® Easy Dissolve product

What to do if my child experiences fever or pain on a trip?

Being on the go with children means you may need to prepare for all kinds of situations. You could be on a family trip out of town or driving somewhere with your child, and your child starts to experience fever symptoms or pain. What should you do?

It can be a difficult situation for both the parent and child when fever or pain arises while outside the home. Whether it’s because your child is now feeling uncomfortable or you’re feeling stressed about the situation. However, knowing what to do and being prepared can help ease the situation for both you and your child.

How can I tell if it’s a fever?

It’s important to first confirm that your child has a fever before thinking about treating it. For children for 4 and up, you can accurately measure their temperature with an oral or infrared thermometer.

A fever could be a sign of infection and in most cases, it can go away in 2 or 3 days on its own1. Read more about measuring temperature here. Always consult your physician or health care provider if you have medical or health questions or concerns.

How do I relieve my child’s fever or pain on the go?

Staying calm for you and your child can be an important step when figuring out a plan, while also comforting them since they’re not feeling well.

Children’s medicine that contains acetaminophen can help to reduce fever and make your child feel more comfortable2. However, the medicine may not always come in a format your child will take, as some kids tend to reject tablets or liquid medicine on certain occasions. That’s why we’ve designed the Children’s TYLENOL® Easy Dissolve powder - that dissolves on your child’s tongue without water, while being handy to take anywhere, anytime.

What is Children’s TYLENOL® Easy Dissolve

Children’s TYLENOL® Easy Dissolve is an all-new format in children’s medicine that tastes pleasant, with a natural berry flavour, and dissolves on the tongue. Being from the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Fever and Pain Relief Brand*, it is in an easy-to-take, kid-friendly format that can help bring down fever while being gentle on tummies.

How to use:

  • Cut open the child-resistant pouch using scissors.

  • Pour powder on your child’s tongue, for fast effective relief of fever or pain due to headache, muscle sprains and strains, toothache, immunization, and common cold and flu. No water needed.

Ingredients include 160mg of acetaminophen powder (each box includes 16 packs of 0.3g), for children aged 6-11 (48-95 lbs). And this product is free of dyes and sucrose!

With little to no mess, the Easy Dissolve powder packs are not only pleasant-tasting but are easy to take for your child with triple benefit for pain relief: fast, effective, and convenient.
